This is a great little museum. It is run completely by veteran volunteers and is funded completely by donations. There is a wealth of history preserved here from the static display of aircraft outside to the many pictures, diagrams, and displays inside. For those that truly understand or want to understand the sacrifices we had to pay for the freedoms we have today this museum can help you understand what price our veterans have paid.
The best Aviation Museum in the Chicago land area. I live in Chicago and drove out for some history on a project i was doing and the vets were happy to help. you walk into the little building pay a few bucks to get in they give you a map, then you go out to see the planes AMAZING !after that you can go through a series of exhibits (with a ton of primary source documents). After they even let me interview a real vet. Honestly the best service and they are all volunteers! would definitely recommend.
Our 4 and 8 year old grandkids enjoyed the museum alot.
